Profound Depths of God

Profound Depths of God

I saw a tall and wide cone-shaped structure, a mountain of sorts, but perfectly symmetrical and smooth. On the outside of this mountain wound a ramp that led upward. Many people on it traveled up, but the ascent would be slow. Slow but steady if they continued their efforts. Then I was brought within the mountain and saw a ladder that led straight up. The movement would be faster but take much more effort. All around this ladder was a force of lights spiraling around them that kept the traveler safe. They would reach the mountain top much quicker, but the effort would be greater.

This vision’s meaning was obvious to me. We have two paths the slow and steady or the rapid but difficult but ultimately guarded and safe path. What isn’t obvious is, whether it is always better to go the rapid ascent path or are there times when the slow and steady are better.

My instinct is to always go with the rapid ascent. I tend to run toward God as fast as I can. If there is an altar call of any type, prayer line, or impartation, I’m there, but are there times I need to go slower and look around as I ascend?

I haven’t heard Him tell me to slow down. Personally, I think as long as we are seeking after Him, we are safe. If we run after anything else, it’s then we are in trouble.

We must search for wisdom in the profound depths of God. But to do that, we have to be in hot pursuit. We aren’t given endless time on earth to search His mysteries.

We need His wisdom and love to minister to others. His wisdom is always counter to the worlds. Without His guidance, we fall so easily back into what makes sense for ourselves and not for the Kingdom of God as a whole. Our selfish tendencies keep us stuck, unfulfilled, and shallow. We aren’t even aware of our condition without the wisdom of God. We think we are full when we run on empty. We believe we are complete but we lack in many things. When we leave, our beings idling and not moving forward is when we are in danger of falling backward in our pursuit of the profound depths of God.

He gave me this scripture to read after showing me the vision It unveils the concept of the profound depths of God

“but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom once hidden [from man, but now revealed to us by God, that wisdom] which God predestined before the ages to our glory [to lift us into the glory of His presence]. None of the rulers of this age recognized and understood this wisdom; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written [in Scripture],

“Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard,

And which have not entered the heart of man,

All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].”

For God has unveiled them and revealed them to us through the [Holy] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things [diligently], even [sounding and measuring] the [profound] depths of God [the divine counsels and things far beyond human understanding].” (1 Corinthians 2:7-10, AMP)

Prayer for you and me: Thank You, Jesus, that when we serve You. it’s never boring. We can always learn more in the profound depths of You. Help us serve others and carry Your wisdom to all those that You have given us to love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
